Asperger Syndrome


Taking care of someone with Asperger Syndrome can be an exhausting thing. In fact real severe cases of autism are not too frequent. In life there is a saying that tells us to expect the unexpected just like this mild form of Autism called Asperger Syndrome. It is a form of autism that is usually not noticed at an early age and the disorder will just develop later of patient’s life. This is a mild form of autism that affect people in different ways compared to normal autism since it does not affect language. In fact, most people with Asperger Syndrome are usually undiagnosed. Though it is just considered mild form of autism you still have to be ready for whatever may happen for it is still a difficult condition to have. Once you badly feel or observe that you or your child has a communication and social behavior problems then see your doctor immediately.

Having an Asperger Syndrome can be labeled as lucky or not lucky. Why? It is because many known and successful people were diagnosed to have it. See! It’s really up to you if you will consider it as lucky or not lucky. In fact, historians suggest that Einstein and Mozart each suffered from this disorder. That’s why it is important to note that there is no form of autism is a form of mental retardation. The truth is most people who have this are very intelligent. This does not actually instruct mental ability rather gives a hard time for people to communicate in a social set ups, the same way round with a typical autistic child. When the disorder continues being undiagnosed this will only lead to problems such as bullying. It far better for them to find they have Asperger Syndrome instead of making them think they are inferior person. This way you can or your child can cope up the problem and opening the big chance to treating and improve the situation.

Social confusion is the most and foremost symptom that you watch out for if you suspect you have it or your child has it. Actually some symptoms to watch out for are just of the same symptoms that people with full-blown autism experience. People with Asperger Syndrome find it very difficult to deal with change and longs that everything will stay the same. They may find changing environment as very confusing and they may also say inappropriate things even they don’t want to do so. They may also not understand other’s thought. Fixation also is another trait they have in common even though people with Asperger Syndrome have more control over their fixations which take the form of highly focused interests. These few symptoms mentioned here may help you determine if you or your loved one has it. At least you will be aware already. If it is positive, then your doctor will be able to answer questions and give you both reading materials and treatment for this disorder.
